Hope you all had a great weekend. Sorry I have been a poor correspondent, I promise I will endeavour to catch up will all your posts asap.
This weekend Mira has been staying with us, it was great to see her again and we had some catching up to do. It has been fun as we had a houseful of people, Nick, Sarah and Moff. On Saturday we went to Greenwhich, I did not take any photos as the weather was a bit grotty, but it did not spoil our enjoyment of the day and we visited all our usual haunts, the market, the Gypys Moth, the painted hall and chapel but did not bother to go up the observatory hill as visibility was poor.
Yesterday we decided to take her to the picturesque village of Avebury
For a walk round the earthworks and standing stones
which inevitably led to the pub for a BBQ lunch
We were lucky with the weather, but in the afternoon, the clouds began rolling in
and the wind picked up
so we looked around the beautiful old church
before heading home with a brief stop to marvel at Silbury Hill close to.
She is deserting us today and heading back to Sweden, we will miss her. Hope she will come back soon.
