I am wishing I had gone to bed a little earlier last night. But for some reason my mind was very active last night and I wasn't sleepy. Am now though. ![]()
Saw these questions SLJ had put up on her site and they are quite thought provoking so I thought I would answer them.
Q1 You have to put up a set of shelves. What do yo do?
Mr S and I hate DIY so I would act helpless and try to get my Dad or my ex to put them up. If not then I would borrow the test tool thing that goes ping if there are pipes in the wall from my Dad, find a suitable place to drill. Draw a pencil line using the spirit level, drill some holes with the power drill put in some rawl plugs and screw in the brackets and put up the shelf. ![]()
Q2 Theres a family party coming up. What would you do?
My family don't do those parties thank God, and I only visit family I like. Mr S's family are into all that rubbish so if it was Mr S's family, I would see if he wanted to go or not. If he did then I would drive him there, put up with it for a few hours. If not then I would make an excuse for us not to go and try to make it my fault so they wouldn't blame him, after all they probably hate me already so what's to lose. ![]()
Q3 When working on a project, what do you do?
Think fast, base it on other projects I have completed successfully and get it over with fast so I can go back to playing.
Q4 When it come to work, what is your motto:
On the whole, if you are taking someones money you do it their way if you don't want to do it don't take the money. ![]()
Q5 At the end of a typical day, what do you do?
After work I come home soak in the bath wash my hair. But each evening is different so I either socialise with Mr S and Nick (and Moff if she is there) or visit my parents or go out or blog. It's my time I do what I want. ![]()
Q6 At the office party, what award would you win?
Coffee addict of the year. ![]()
Q7 Its time for your annual pay review. What would you expect?
I would expect to get one
.
Q8 Its 5pm and your boss calls an impromptu meeting. But you already have plans to see friends.
Depends on how important the meeting is and what the plans were and who the friend is. Without a job you have no money and without money you are up wotsit creek with no paddle (see my answer to Q4). In the first place I would try and reschedule the meeting. If it was really urgent I would say that I had already made arrangements and I would come for half an hour only,I would text the friend explaining that I was going to be late. everything is a balance so unless you are going to the theatre or something where there is a time slot there is usually room for some flexibility. The important thing is not to let someone down, make the decision to go or to stay and keep your friend informed.
But if it happened too often, I would look for another job.
Q9-You are traveling on a Transatlantic flight over the arctic, and the plane begins shuddering, the oxygen masks drop down and the pilot comes over the intercom and tells you there is a problem with the aircraft and that instructions from crew members will follow. What do you do?
Assume the worst.
Put on the masks, try to help others around me. Panic inside and try to remain calm on the outside. Assume that no instructions will follow keep my wits about me, keep quiet and listen to see if I can get clues as to what is likely to happen next.
Q10-You're at an awards dinner. You've been seated at a table with a couple having a massive row, a smelly drunken has-been eighties singer--who keeps hitting on you, a very rude female comedian, a gay screenwriter and his ex-partner, and your favourite television star. What do you do?
I don't have a favourite TV star, I am unimpressed by celebrities. The drunk and the rowing couple would irritate me,so if I couldn't change tables I would wolf down my meal and then leave.
There you go.
