5 minutes after leaving work I was soaked to the skin, ankle deep in water. I hope my shoes dry out, I like them they are really comfortable.
Is the rain really that heavy or are all the drains blocked.
I got home ok, but no trains were going to the end of the line because of a lightening strike.
Long soak in a hot bath and a nice glass of wine and I am thinking.
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaah! Life in the Lunnin, innit great eh?

I loved the soaking initially, it was only afterwards when it took me an hour and a half of commuting in wet clothes that I began to feel bitter.

The rain just came down hard here, I'm so glad I just got home and can watch it from the window instead of being in it! x

Thunder storms can be dramatic at this time of the year ! We had a brief one on the island. At one point we really thought that a nearby shed or tree had been hit - the thunder as so loud and the house shook 
It only lasted about 20 minutes though
